The VCMS at the SPVS-VMG Congress 2020

Last month the VCMS participated in the SPVS-VMG Congress 2020 in Newport, Wales. Taking place on the beautiful grounds of the Celtic Manor Resort, the VCMS, led by Jennie Jones and supported by Toni Taylor and Kayleigh Turnbull, set up home at stand 77 for the duration of the three-day event.

The congress brought together leading figures within the veterinary industry for the first event of the year organised by SPVS VMG Events.

SPVS is a not-for-profit organisation for professionals within the veterinary industry that promotes responsible leadership by providing tools and resources that enable members to develop and expand their business and leadership skills.

The Veterinary Management Group (VMG) represents and supports veterinary professionals in leadership or management roles. Offering a range of resources for professional and personal development, the VMG is a collaborative community within which veterinary leaders can share experiences, build relationships and work together to advance their practices and the wider profession.

The congress, a joint venture between the two organisations, continues to provide key areas of training, debate and interaction across a wide range of disciplines relating to the veterinary industry. From leadership to marketing, wellbeing in practice to management, the event featured a wide variety of guest speakers and lecturers. The five dedicated streams of the event allowed attendees to focus on particular areas of interest and was praised for adding in topics that went beyond just the veterinary industry.

On behalf of the VCMS and all of the team, we would like to thank the SPVS-VMG for their organisation and event and we look forward to participating again in the future.
